With annual averages of 59ºF, 75% relative humidity, and 45 inches of accumulated rainfall, tea doesn’t just grow, it flourishes in Yunnan Province. Located in southwestern China, Yunnan is the historical home of tea used for medicinal purposes, and is the origin of pu’er. The region’s black tea features a terroir-specific taste, which often includes spice and pepper notes, jammy character, and a bit of malty briskness. 

 What we’re doing:

  • 1 heaping teaspoon (approx. 3 grams) of Golden Heaven Yunnan per 6-8 oz. serving
  • Heat fresh water to 195º-208ºF
  • Steep 3-5 minutes
