Temi tea estate is located in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, which borders China, Nepal, and Bhutan. The region’s name is derived from Sanskrit, meaning “mountainous land,” and is home to India’s highest peak, Kangchenjunga.

Sikkim teas are noticeably similar in character to teas from Darjeeling, no doubt due to the fact that they’re both grown in high mountain climates bordering the Himalayas. This offering from Temi has distinctive muscatel flavor, with notes of peach and almond, but more sweetness and less point than most darjeeling teas.

 What we’re doing:

  • 1 heaping teaspoon (about 3 grams) of Temi FTGFOP per 6-8 oz serving
  • Heat fresh water to 195º-205ºF
  • Steep 3-5 minutes

 What we’re tasting:

  • Fruity – Muscat grape, peach
  • Nutty – Almond

*includes multiple infusions
